Recipe - Dehydrated Tamari Sunflower Seeds

Recipe - Dehydrated Tamari Sunflower Seeds

Soaking raw seeds increases the nutrition available to the body from the seeds. The soaking causes the seeds to sprout and the dehydrating stops them from sprouting and helps them stay edible while stored. We store them in the refrigerator.

8 cups raw sunflower seeds
Soaked for 6 hours then drained and rinsed
4 Tbsp tamari
Stir together
Place in dehydrator spread over mesh sheets or convection oven until dry and crunchy.
We did 5 hours at 155 degrees F.

These are good sprinkled on salads, pizza or anything you want to add a bit of crunch to. They are also a light weight snack when travelling.
